This chapter describes the dialog Options Users.
Options Users
This tabs allows you to control RapidTyping users.
Here you can:
- Change current user.
- Create, delete and edit user properties.
- Change user data location.
Changing current user
- Select the user to be activated on the user list.
- Press the Activate button to activate the user.
Creating new user
- Click on the Add button to display the User Properties dialog.
- In the User Properties dialog, fill out the necessary fields and then click Ok.
- Press the Activate button to activate the user.
Deleting user
- Select the user to be deleted on the user list.
- Press the Delete button to delete the user.
User Properties
- Select the user to be managed on the user list.
- Click on the User Properties button to open the User Properties dialog.
- In the User Properties dialog, modify the necessary fields and then click Ok.
User Data Folder
- Click the "..." button to the right of the Path to Users Data field.
- Select the new user data folder and then click Ok.
- Clicking on the Default button will restore the default user data folder.
Default user data folder:
Vista
- \Users\'your name windows account'\AppData\Roaming\RapidTyping\User\'your rapidtyping name account'.sta - stores statistics.
- \Users\'your name windows account'\AppData\Roaming\RapidTyping\User\'your rapidtyping name account'.opt - stores your options.
- \Users\'your name windows account'\AppData\Roaming\RapidTyping\User\'your rapidtyping name account'.pla - stores windows placement.
XP
- \Documents and Settings\'your name windows account'\Application Data\RapidTyping\User\'your rapidtyping name account'.sta - stores statistics.
- \Documents and Settings\'your name windows account'\Application Data\RapidTyping\User\'your rapidtyping name account'.opt - stores your options.
- \Documents and Settings\'your name windows account'\Application Data\RapidTyping\User\'your rapidtyping name account'.pla - stores windows placement.
When the user list contains more than one item, the Select User dialog will pop up on the program start. You can disable it by clearing the checkbox Show "Select User" dialog when the program starts at the bottom.
